Hi guys! Do you guys think God would allow someone to go back in time to give themself a piece of information that would prevent them from falling away after being deceived and losing The Holy Spirit? If so, does anyone know of anyone that might be able to take them there?

Why is it that we are time traveling?

To give a piece of advice that would

To give a piece of advice that would save the person’s relationship with God, and love on people to the BEST way: With The Holy Spirit.

That all sounds really wonderful but I'm still not clear on the time travel part. Maybe if you were a little more specific.

What particularly are you confused about with the time traveling part? I mean either physically, or even a message of some kind that would impact the past, thus save the person in the present.

The good news is that a lapsed/apostate person is still the object of God's loving affection, and He wills that they be restored to the Body through repentance, that they might know again the refreshment that is in Christ.

Donatism and Novationism is rejected heresy; Christ is the Good Shepherd.

We don't need to time-travel, we simply bear witness to Christ, and the Holy Spirit faithfully moves and acts and works. He will, as faithfully as He called us to faith in the beginning when we were baptized and first believed, will always call us to faith--even when we have fallen into apostasy and cast away the hope of our salvation.

As @ViaCrucis said above, Novatianism and Donatism were rejected by the Church long ago. But there was a time when they weren't. If you apply the strictest reading of the new testament you'll find that according to Hebrews 6 if a person falls away they cannot return. Also see Hebrews 10 which has it that mortal sin after baptism leads to condemnation. That was the belief of early Christianity, see the "one repentance" of the Shepherd of Hermas. The Church effectively set those aside beginning with Calixtus I of Rome, who offered absolution even for mortal sins after baptism. It started a minor schism that lasted for a time. Then after the last Roman persecution the Church offered reconciliation even to those who fell away and denied Christ under persecution. It's been that way ever since.

All thoughts/ideas/concepts of time travel are subject to the bootstrap paradox.

Besides the Vulcan Science Administration/Commencerate has deemed that time travel is impossible, lol.

Have you fallen away?

God Bless.

The only way time travel is possible, is only with a multiverse, because if you could go back in time, then from that moment on, or right after the moment you arrived, etc, you'd no longer be in or belong to this universe/reality/timeline anymore, but would be in a completely different one after that, etc.

But there is absolutely zero proof of a multiverse or other universes yet, and all we know of is just only this one right now, etc.

God Bless.

A few times God allowed me to send back a piece of information to myself in the past via telepathy. I received the information, I remembered receiving the info but couldn't stop what I'm trying to prevent in the first place.

I did try to send back lottery numbers, winning trades. It didn't work either. When you're intensely focused on something and under pressure, you begin affecting the laws of probability as well and cause alternative outcomes that all work against you.

Clearly there's a huge hidden "web" out there. Pluck it and you'll causing massive impact to the reality itself and perhaps even attract the unwanted attention of the huge spiders zealously guarding it.

No.
There isn't anyone who can take you back to the past. But you can change things so that the future's better.

This reminds me of the Rich man and Lazarus parable. No I don't think God would allow that as we are responsible for our actions. If we have been walking with God by praying and reading the bible there is no way for us to be deceived. Moreover I do not think one can be deceived and be lost after receiving the Holy Spirit as God would keep him from falling. He who begins a good work in us will finish it. The fact he is deceived implies he never truly believed.

Luke 16:30-31

King James Version

30 And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.

31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

I really wouldn't think it necessary for time travel. God would certainly understand your need to know something and impart it upon you somehow thru others or thru the Holy Spirit. Assuming one was a true believer. None can fake true faith and fool God.

It would make more sense for him to read the bible before falling away.

The problem in Hebrews 6:4-6 has to do with the book being written to Jewish Christians. Basically, when one becomes a Christian, their family considers them to be dead. When they rejoin Judahism the peer pressure is what makes it almost impossibe for them to repent and and returen to Jesus.

1 Corinthians 9:24
You know that in a race all the runners run, but only one runner gets the prize. So run like that. Run to win!

Hebrews 12:1
We have all these great people around us as examples( referring to Hebrews 11`). Their lives tell us what faith means. So we, too, should run the race that is before us and never quit. We should remove from our lives anything that would slow us down and the sin that so often makes us fall.

Hebrews 6 is what youth ministers use to scare to ever living stuff out of their young congregants. Melchizedek...Then all of a sudden you might go to hell. Honestly though, If you are scared you might have committed it, then you haven't. That is my opinion. If you completely renounced everything...and then came back to it, you should probably not join a reformed church. But they would probably agree you didnt acutally renoucnce it. Regardless, we are all Christians...lutherans, arminians, catholics, reformed. Doesn't matter in the long run.

I would take the example of Scripture, that even if someone were to come back from the dead, to warn them, they would not listen.
