Here is a wedding in the Medieval Times

This is an old medieval castle in Victoria Australia that tourists can go and check out.

They have different shows such as a medieval re-enactment, jousting, and a sword display just to name a few of the attractions.

Bah...I'd love to enter this one, but the dress I wanted to pick was waaay too expensive for me...some 1,000 or so blessings...

EDITED: A couple of people have generously gave me 1,000 blessings, so I was able to get this lovely gown for the contest. I'm ready for my shot now!

Name: St. Hildegard of Bingen
Significance: Hildegard of Bingen (1098-1179) was a remarkable woman, a "first" in many fields. At a time when few women wrote, Hildegard, known as "Sybil of the Rhine", produced major works of theology and visionary writings. When few women were accorded respect, she was consulted by and advised bishops, popes, and kings. She used the curative powers of natural objects for healing, and wrote treatises about natural history and medicinal uses of plants, animals, trees and stones. She is the first composer whose biography is known. She founded a vibrant convent, where her musical plays were performed.

It took me a while to figure out how I could do this, but I'm all set now.


I am Joanna.
My parents are serfs. The lord of the manor behind me is good enough to let my father and brothers work a small strip of land just beyond the vineyard here. My family works hard, we have to work for the lord in order to pay for our small bit of land.

It's my job to watch the goats and to milk them each day. I wear cloth shoes when it's very cold, but when the fields are warm and muddy as they are today, I go barefoot. My mother and my sisters bind and veil their hair because they're married women. I am not yet married, so I can wear my hair free.

My character is decided: I am Guinevere, Queen-consort to Arthur Pendragon of Camelot. Tragic queen, complex character addition to any version of the Arthurian legend. According to teh wiki: "Guinevere has been portrayed as everything from a weak and opportunistic traitor to a fatally flawed but noble and virtuous gentlewoman."

She is given many varying physical descriptions, so I'm going to "portray" her in my own way.
