For breakfast we had overnight oats (Irish oats cooked overnight in the crockpot) with blueberries and milk.Cool idea! Anything special I have to do to make them that way. I have both Irish oats and a crockpot, but never thought of that!
Lunch today, left over home-made spagetti sauce, and reheated noodles, grapes and lemonaide (because it is over 90 degrees out right now!)

Nope, nothing too special! Just put in about 2 1/2 parts water for 1 part oats, and turn on low. Don't let it cook more than 8 or 9 hours, but that's about it!
We had to tinker with it a bit because I think a lot depends on how much you're making and the size of the crockpot. We usually seem to need the full amount of water--or sometimes I'll put in 2 cups of water and then some cut up apples and cinnamon. The juice from the apples makes up the difference
Sooo good, and DH's cholesterol went down 70 points over the last year since we started to do it!
Dumb Question: what's the diff between Irish oats and rolled oats?
Can I get Irish oats in USA?
I buy Quaker brand rolled oats or quick cooking oats
