Anyone care to take a stab at what the time prophecies mean? I've been trying to figure this one out for years. It just doesn't add up using the same hermeneutics as usual.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

A "time" in the context of Daniel is a 'prophetic' year. A prophetic year contains 360 days. The 360 day year precedent is set in Genesis when we're told of the duration of the Flood.
The Daniel 12, "time, times, and half a time"... would be 3 1/2, 360 day years.
This is a reference to the second half of the Tribulation period called the "Great Tribulation" or "Jacobs Troubles".

Daniel's prophesies are about the time of Jacob's trouble in the second half of the 70th week. He asked "How long will it be before these astonishing things are fulfilled?" The angel replied "It will be for a time, times and half a time" or 3.5 years of 360days each = 1,260 days (12:7).
The Antichrist is in power for 42 months, the two witnesses prophesy for 1,260 days, and the woman (Israel) flees into the desert for 1,260 days. These times are concurrent within the 1,290 days of 12:11 that ends with the final day of God's wrath. The Antichrist dies before Armageddon ( Revelation 19:19-20) which ends his rule of 1,260 days. Following Armageddon are the 7 vials (16) and the final day of God's wrath requiring 30 additional days to complete the 1,290 days. Forty five days later at 1,1335 days the Millennium begins
