  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

NYJ and I have created a time machine. We are going to use it in the event we don't get raptured. Anyway, I wanted to loan it out to OBOB.

So, now that you have it, where would you go? You can pick a religious period to visit someone or anything you like, and then a secular trip.

Now, you can pick meeting Jesus, but keep in mind that you don't want to mess with the time/space continuum (or get yelled at by our Lord).

Serious reason, I'd go back to when Matt was born and have a c-section rather than having him turned which I believe caused him some trauma that might have worsened his autism.

For a frivolous trip suppose I might like to do a rescue mission for St. Thomas More, but then he'd end up not being a saint I suppose.

I'd go to Fatima and see the sun blocked out. Wow.

Maybe I'd go to France and watch van Gogh paint.
Go back to old England and see some knights in their castles.
See the Eiffel tower in construction, or the great wall of China. Go breathe the fresh air before the industrial revolution. Go to ancient Greece or Rome.

I would go back to the Garden and Eden. If I couldn't find the snake, I'd wait at the tree and tell Eve the apples were poisoned with an overdose of insecticide.

No, I wouldn't. I really hate to travel.

Now wait a minute. You hate to travel? tsk tsk...I'm very disappointed.

At the risk of sounding generic, I'd like to receive communion at the Last Supper. As for secular? I'd like to see John Hancock sign the Declaration of Independance

Also I'll tell Jesus to turn the choppah around if u don't make it on :)

I just snarfed beer, thanks a lot:D I love to make rapture jokes and plan rapture-inspired pranks (long story, but funny) so that made my day.

Ok, so instead of Pentecost, I'd go to about 600 AD and talk to the Christians in England and figure out EXACTLY what they believe in and tape record it or something as proof that the Early Church believed in the same stuff that the Church does now :)

If it is the Pentecost then the Holy Spirit would let you hear Peter's tongue.

BTW- I would be happy just to see Jesus.:D

I would like to go back before Capt. Cook discovered the Hawaiian Islands to find out how the Hawaiians really lived.

I'd like to go be in Lourdes when St. Bernadette when she first saw our Mother in the Grotto.

Be part of the crowd that heard Jesus' Sermon on the Mount.

Hear St. Thomas More when he tried to persuade King Henry VIII not to break away from Rome and argued that it would be a mistake.

To be able to copy the works in the library of Alexandria before the Romans burned it down.

I would like to go listen to Hildegard von Bingen (also an expert on holy nagging) and have a few conversations with Therese de Lisieux.

For a fun trip... hmm... I think I would like a few weeks of Victorian or Regency life, but ONLY if I managed to be upper class somehow. *L*

I would go back to Matthew 16:18 and bring a video camera. I would then ask the Lord if He really means St Peter is the first Pope. When he says "Truly, Chris, Truly I do mean it..." I would warp back to modern time and end the schisms.
