CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Thanksgiving is one of the saddest holidays for us.
It marks the time my father moved out.
My mother and I just watch tv and sleep late.
I will also work on a big research paper.

Actually it is the Monday after Thanksgiving.
Today.
But our holiday was ok. I won a free movie ticket. That is one Thanksgiving surprise!

Well...we went to church on Christmas Eve.
I made cookies and fudge and a cheese soup with ham.
We watched holiday movies that were on all the channels.
I got various things: a hot chocolate gift set, a pretty little tote bag with 2 types of english muffins and honey spread, a Joy Williams cd (that was a surprise. I don't know much about christian artists these days.) a warm nightgown and lots of gift cards.
There is a store called Justice Just for Girls nearby and I got a card for there.
It is one of those cutesy, frilly, little girl stores, but I found 2 fabulous shirts that are my size.
