  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Film Nerd Alert:

Officially, Burton didn't direct The Nightmare Before Christmas. Stop-motion is too time-consuming and he didn't feel like dedicating three years of his life to one movie, so he left the actual directing to Henry Selick, an old friend of his from when he worked as a Disney animator. Because the art direction and story definitely have Burton's signature all over it, which is why the movie is originally called "Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas".

Henry Selick, by the way, often works with stop-motion. He is also the man behind James and the Giant Peach and, more recently, the stunning Coraline (go see that, if you haven't already - it's gorgeous)

I googled for a while, but I couldn't find anything about Nightmare being banned. It's fairly harmless.
did you read the book Coriline? it is amazing too, very differant yet very the same as the movie
Giaman is amazing!!!
