I think you're confused. I never said to strike an adult or a child. God's word says to use the rod (spank) on the child to correct them. Once a person is an adult it is too late to spank them, they have to be disciplined as a child.

I'm confused? I think it is you who is confused if you think you read the word "spank" anywhere in the bible.

If you mean, have I been studying the bible, the answer is no. I have read it though.
I am an atheist, so needless to say I don't attend a church although I have been in a church when a family member or friend is getting married.
The only umbrella I'm ever under is the one to protect me from the rain.

That does happen.

I would imagine though, that guilty people beat their cases more often then innocent people are sent to prison.

The system isn't perfect.
