Threatening Storm Clouds

Anyone else think that threatening storm clouds are beautiful and exciting? I have taken pictures of the very dark, threatening type of clouds, and think they are awesome.

No, I've been fascinated by them my whole life. I grew up in south Georgia and saw them countless times. It was hypnotic watching the black clouds overtake the sky.

I absolutely love that situation...when a storm is approaching and you can see and feel it in the air...It is truely an awesome moment!

It's weird..I feel energized by it, and make sure to get out and enjoy the change in weather (Southern Cali).

Last night after dinner my mum and I were sitting out on the back lawn watching the thunderstorm arrive. For about an hour there was a huge lightning storm all over the sky, but most of it was hidden behind thick low cloud, which made it all the more interesting. At our place the wind blows north->south when a storm is building up, and then changes around to south-> north, so we always know when to run inside. We had hail the size of tennis balls hitting our roof during the storm proper which was interesting.

Yeah, I agree. Seeing a storm enroute is just energizing to me. I've been taking pics the last year, and archiving them in a weather folder, but nothing significant so far...

yeah i do they have a very fascinating look to them I have seen rotation in the clouds but I really want to see a real tornado have any of you seen one if so tell me

I Definatly like seeing lighting storms lol
