I enjoy certain forums and I follow those forums. However lately I have just been inundated with emails because a specific member just post and post and post relentlessly all day long. Is there any way to block only certain posts that have been posted by a specific member, without unfollowing that forum? When I see the email and the name it's easy enough to delete but I mean there are so many of them it's like being spammed.

You can click on the person's name under his icon (example By_the_Book for you). That will bring up a box that shows some of his info, messages, etc. On the bottom right it says More Options. Click on that and pick Ignore. You won't be able to see that person's posts; not sure about e-mails, though. I guess you'll find out.

Well I did what you advised. Just for clarity I do want to make sure this doesn't mean I won't receive the emails for the threads that he post to. Does that make sense? Because I'm interested in getting updates on those threads as long as it's not him that's posting to the thread.

I would think this would just block him individually. But I'm not all-knowing! You might just keep an eye on those forums to see if anyone posts something and you don't receive an e-mail. I'm not sure if you get an e-mail the moment a post is made or if there's a delay. If you click on your own little icon at the top of your page on the right, it will bring up a list of responses to all the threads you follow, in real time. I rely more on those than e-mails, but have had trouble reducing my e-mails even though I've edited my e-mail options.

I had to ignore one just the other day. Almost stalking me. Don't need that.
