Your referring to me, Freman. And I don't apply double standards for the Tanakh, and the NT. The single standard I apply to the NT is by using the Tanakh as the measuring stick for the authority of the NT. If you view that as a double standard, then I'm guilty as charged.

And Contra uses a double standard constantly, so you should get used to it if your going to attempt any dialogue with him.

Oh, I remember Jesus said something in Matthew 5:17...
"Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill."

So true! He never ever contradicts the Torah and Prophets. He only contradicts the MAN-MADE LAWS in that first century culture and I believe we can also apply this same method that Jesus did in our days.
