Thoughts on reality show Gilligan's island?

I have been seeing bits here and there of the real Gilligands island.

I think it could be good or just a flop.

Don't know the actual rules or objective.

Is it the person that plays there characture best?

I wanted to watch it but it's on a night when I'm busy. It looks funny. I'm going to try to tape it this week.

I don't think it'll be that good. It's kind of a Survivor wannabe, in my opinon.

Watching it as I type. Cannot stand how lame it is. Just beginning and already someone is going home do to health problems. The challenges arent challenges. They are easy and worthless.

Instead of swimming out to the objective they can walk do to shallow water-- Pointless!

Run the torch all the way down the beach and light a fire!-Pointless!

LOL Im suprised they came up with such a cheap imitation of survivor.

I watched it last night.

The one group looks more like the original crew and get along with each other.(green I think)
The Gold team are misfits and annoying.
A gay professor with multiple degrees in Sociology? And he was one of the most annoying and least trying to get along.
They could get rid of the whole gold team and not have lost anything.
The only ones I am undecided on are the Gingers.

Granted the games were lame. And probably caused the good skipper to leave.(smoke inhalation.) To be more in line with the setting it should have been supplys that they could use. Wreckage floating out on the ocean.
The Professor challenge should have been the skipper challenge. Building a raft has nothing to do with a professor.
Each game should be related to their personna. Gathering Coconuts for Gilligan,

I didn't like Rachel Hunter prior to arrival to the island, but The whole team would be my choice.

I really anticipated this show because of the hype. But I was a little disappointed. The only really interested people are the very outspoke Rachel Hunter and the blonde rich lady.

There was a lot of hype and I got caught up in that...However, after I watched it I do not think it will be very popular...I will watch again to see what happens next week...

I saw five minutes of it and it was pretty retarded. It's like a twisted cross between Survivor and gym class. The task I saw was really dinky...and the elimination of one character was dependant on the whole team. It was pretty hokey...although I'd watch it over Survivor. At least they are decent to each other as far as I can tell on GI.

Its SUCH a dissapointment. Gilligan's Island is my favourite TV show, and they have ruined it. It is too Survivor-esque...I thought they would be WORKING TOGETHER to get off the Island, like the original show!!! What is with the "romantic inclination" between Gilligan and the winning Mary-Ann (the one who left was a much better Mary-Ann, hopefully the flirtatious Gilligan will go)

Who lost? on Wednesday? I watch "lost".
I think the Green teams Mary-ann and Gilligan would be
a good couple. They seem to hit it off.

As I said in my other post I hope the Green team all win.

I dislike the misfit team. The dorky gilligan, the mouthy millionaires wife,
the gay professor with no useful education.

I really hate reality shows. Even with Rachel Hunter in it I'll still not watch it. And believe me, I melt like butter when ever I see Rachel Hunter. Beautiful woman like her never go out of style.
