Maybe this belongs in a different part of the forum, I don't know, I'm new here. But just wanted to add my 2 cents.
There's always something to be sad or hurt or angry or even happy about out there - it all boils down to worry and fear, or the lack there of, which at least denotes concern.
I think it's great that we ask each other to pray about these things. But I have to ask (myself included). With all this askin' and prayin' goin' on, how much trust do we really have that God IS already doing His Part in these things? And how much are we willing to do, in doing our own parts, not only in our own lives, but in each others' lives, and the lives of those living near each one of us?
I have friends who I ask to pray for me almost incessantly. And yet I struggle so much with true Faith in God - not in some "faith-healer" sort of way, but I mean, just simply Faith that God will do His Part and not leave me hanging while I do mine. So, I'm throwing some thoughts on the flames and hoping they'll become a bonfire.
What do you think about such things?
