Secular music DOES have some very bad effects on me!



It makes me poor!

Being a Beatle Freak I buy EVERYTHING from The Beatles and their solo recordings. I can't even afford to buy some of my other fav artists as well like the Rolling Stones (or is it Strolling Bones!), The WHO, Led Zep, etc. etc.

See secular music IS harmful!

Agreed. I'd be a rich woman if I stopped buying music and going to concerts

What are everyone's thoughts on music? Christians, what do you think about secular music? Lot of my friends are debating, saying Christians are negatively affected by secular music, or that music doesn't affect the person and there should be noboundaries about what they should listen to. What do you guys think?

music is music.

it's a personal thing to me. if someone wants to judge secular music because it's human beings talking about real things they go through (which is simliar, if not exactly the same of what Christians go through), so be it. some bands go extremely far for sure.

but i say, figure it out for who you are. i listen to secular music more than Christian. i have my favorite Christian bands to say the least, but i listen to far more secular music.

i just have to say, remember that if you can't control what influences you, then maybe you need to start there. once you realize that it's up to you, your own responsibility to take in control of your own life, then go from there. that's my two cents.
