Gregorian or polyphonic chant. Simple participatory psalmody. That's my go-to. Anybody can do it. Reverent, beautiful. AND probably very similar to what Israelite worship would have sounded like.Traditional - contemporary - rock - jazz

I believe that God is far more interested in the heart and much less interested in the medium. Go with what fits you as an individual.Traditional - contemporary - rock - jazz

Thought about how we sound as some of the 6500 languages sing to Him such as:
"But I will sing of your strength; I will sing aloud of your steadfast love in the morning. For you have been to me a fortress and a refuge in the day of my distress." Psa 59
My pastor from before I moved was big on silences. And people sometimes squirmed a bit at long silences. I miss those long moments now.How about..'silence' during the worship?

I was at the meeting..years ago.
- During the praise & worship time..some people started..kneeling, prostrating..
- including worship leaders..the music stopped.
- It (silence) lasted..4-5 minutes.

"It is a great lesson to learn that to be silent before God is the secret of true adoration."
