Our thoughts on Christmas ought to be the coming and birth of our Savior, not the ideas of man, I believe. The designated day is now irrelevant, though some believe April was the real day ---since that was given as the beginning of the hope for Israel when redeemed out of bondage; and thus speaks also of redemption for all mankind later when Jesus, the Christ came to redeem all lost souls who will have Him. I have no problem with the word: "mass" which troubles some folks, as the dictionary shows it as meaning gathering, overall, etc.
Let us not be occupied though with details, but accept the precious truth of God's love (John 3:16) in bringing the gift of life, hope, and blessings. I would not act like the modern world, but desire to exalt the Lord Jesus at this time ---even sending reminders to all friends, and giving of gifts with the thoughts of God's gift to man. Have a happy, godly, and blessed day of remembrance of Christ!
