The potential political and social misuse of such devices is staggering. I don't care care which side one follows, just imagine the sleaziest of the opposition getting control of such a device. If one is honest, just imagine the sleaziest of one's own doing so.

not even just the sleaziest.... hasatan the enemy of Christ Jesus and the father of all lies. (his purpose, he comes only, to kill and to steal and to destroy)

read in the Scripture (it is very difficult to find online) what God says about the enemy and how he deceives the whole world and brings it almost to an end, before Yahushua returns to stop him.

a lot of people and religions and posters and members and people just don't bother to find out, and it might not matter if they do or not, Yhvh knows.

What to do with terrorist sympathisers, and would be suspects, whom brain scans identify as such? The tech may not be here yet, in reliable form, but if not it will be here soon. Polygraphs are already used in the USA, so what about soulography?
I think you should stick with the good old fashioned waterboarding and other traditional ways of torture.

No, we aren't that close yet. There is no validated brain scan test for terrorism, just as there is no validated test for deception. That doesn't stop certain individuals from attempting to commercialise the technology to earn a profit on overblown claims of the technology's success.
