  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

OKAY I get it now!
I disabled my rep thingie so did newlight (we hate the popularity thingie) BUT if I kept it up I am afraid that newlight adn I would keep giving eachother REPS!

I once heard the story of a Chinese proverb which says something like:

A person with one friend is happy
A person with two friends is blessed
A person with more than three friends should be worried- they probably aren't all true friends.

It's not to do with quantity. It's to do with quality. I have two friends who I know I could phone at 3am with an emergency. That's deep friendship.

Oh, that's the message you get when you try to give a CF user some rep without waiting long enough since the last rep. I've seen people just paste in that message like that to let others know they are trying to send rep, but can't. : )

I agree. I just use it as a quick way to tell somebody something or give a "high five" about a post.

...BUT Newlight lost her job and we both were gonna be angels for our guardian angels but NOW she CAN NOT dress up for she has an interview that day PLUS seh will be looking for jobs as well. OKAY so I was thinking about wearing my pajamas to work with my robe....HEY what a GOOD excuse to be comfy right!

My heart goes out to the people posting here, but at the same time I think it's pretty ignorant to be starting a CLUB for sensitive people. I'm sensitive myself, and that is NOT what God is going for. There is a difference between being loving and having healthy spiritual emotions, and living in your sentimentality and letting it control you. That is certainly not what the Lord wants for you.


Seek wisdom from awesome men and women of God, who can see with a clear mind the situation and speak from God about it. It is not the best idea to be asking other people who have the same problem as you and are stuck in it, for advice about the situation. They can only keep you down, because they obviously have not found the answer either, so why are you asking them?
