  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

This was an unforced error...

I think many more black voters actually vote than in 2008,

Sheer numbers perhaps...but percentage of black people who could vote that did peaked under Obama in 08 I believe.

very likely because of Democratic Party registration drives and the highly visible change in the contest. First there was Barack Obama, and now Kamala Harris.

Harris has the lowest support amongst black voters in decades.

It's quite remarkable really.

We now see that the President need not be an old white man.

Complaints of the race of the President are increasingly a Democratic Party thing....and so soon after Obama too.

Rachel Scott’s piercing interview at National Association of Black Journalists event left former president fuming

The NABJ’s executive director told members at a meeting on Saturday that “Scott had received death threats following her work asking incisive questions of … Trump at the group’s national convention” three days earlier, Eric Deggans of National Public Radio wrote in an X post published Saturday.
