there's plenty of disproof in the existence of God, the lack of proof being one of them. here's another example of disproof:

Something that knows everything has no questions to ask – it knows already. Ergo it cannot consider. The result of its consideration would already be known.

This basically means that god can't decide. If god can't decide there's no point in asking it do anything. This also means that god has no free will. It knows in advance what it will choose and so it can't choose. It just follows a preset pattern of action.

Of course, these things that god can't do also mean that god is not omnipotent. In fact god is powerless, completely so, because god has no free will."

my morals come from common sense, it isn't hard to figure out the difference between right and wrong with an intellectual mind. You don't need God or religion to tell you what's right or what's wrong, right and wrong can be found, like I said, using common sense. unfortunately, not everyone (murders, rapists, junkies and all other people considered wrong) has that ability of intellectual, logical and rational common sense. I would say my morals are circumstantial based on logical and rational thought.

As far as morals go, you did not dispute my point that you can't have both relative and fundamental moral system, it would be illogical. So therefore I will challenge you and try to find a circumstantial validation for, hmmmmm.. Rape?

Chances are unless you make some crazy story up, you won't be able to make legitimate the act of rape in any way shape or form. Thus creating a fundamental moral taboo. True moral relativity would suggest that everyone's moral systems are relative to themselves and circumstances. If this were the case your morals would be pretty meaningless. Why should anyone care about anyone's beliefs in such a case? To me anyways, this suggests that there is some kind of fundamental baseline of things that are wrong, period. The reasons for which they are wrong may not be available to us due to our lack of understanding, experience, wisdon, or what have you, but the baseline of fundamental morality is there. I'm sure you know the 10 commandments.

As far as the fact there is no proof suggests disproof is exactly what is wrong with the purely scientific mind. In such a mindset one cannot actually break any ground with anything, unless one first wonders about some possibility that they cannot yet prove, no new scientific discovery's will be made, thus defeating the justification of the mindset you are currently in. Where is the fine line? Why can you wonder about certain things like the innards of a black hole or the creation of a galaxy, yet not wonder about the existence of God? Something called imperical evidence comes to mind.

This is bad logic. Knowing everything just means you have a lot to consider.

I disagree, I can think about my little girls and simply feel my love for them, or think about how happy they make me. Both of which result in a finite answer. Love them more than anything in the universe, make me happier than anything in the universe, but more importantly, I feel it in my heart.

I didn't have to ask a question, I just know.
