• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

This next sunday is my baptism!!

Hi everyone!

 I have been on church since i can remember, but even as a teenager i wasn't quite a good christian and never wanted to commit with God truly and thus didn't want to be baptized. But now years later, i have given my life to Christ and so i symbolicly want to leave my old man behind to the eyes of the church...

This next sunday early in the morning i will be a participant of the baptism together with 12 members along with me. From teenagers to old people. There will be a man recording the event and snapshots,
I will be posting them and probably the video on here or at least give a link.

Ciao! God Bless.

WooHoooo! My baptism was going to be last Sunday but my pastor was out of town and we had a miscommunication so I put off till tomorrow. The pastor then asked me to wait one more Sunday (next Sunday) because he's going to be at the hospital with a church member this Sunday because he's scheduled for a serious operation that morning. I said ok, no problem but then the pastors wife (she's a super sweet lady) asked me to wait till the next Sunday as she's going to a ladys revival in Florida that weekend and she doesn't want to miss it. Sooooo......I'm scheduled for the 28th. I'm itching to go though. My friends said it's really so that they would have time to reinforce the baptismal and put a shield over it since when they put me in it's gonna boil all the water out and they don't want the pastor to get scalded. Sweet huh? It's also been suggested that I'll probably need to be dunked twice.
It's time of rejoicing. In all honesty it'll work better since there's a lot of friends and family that will be able to come that wouldn't been able to come on the first scheduled date. Several are volunteering to follow me up to make sure I don't bolt since chasing me around the church tends to disrupt the services. They even offered to sit on me to make sure I go under. Sigh. With support like this, what more could I ask?
Enjoy the experience, my friend. I know I shall!! I congratulate you on your decision and support you 100%!!
Have fun and God bless.
