I didn't know Catholics believed that. This nation is the leader of all countries. We defend the poor and the weak. We are where the church is found, where the promised land is for all gentiles until the coming of the rapture.

We are strong. God's light shines upon this country and blesses it as we do God's work in the world. This is why I am against the U.N. If the world doesn't want to follow Christ, then I say abandon them. You are either with us or against us.

This country has drifted far from him. Until we abandon the culture of death and our humanistic society we will remain far from him.

I don't know that she did. I know at Fatima she said many things pertaining this age, the culture of death and immorality and how God is very much offended and that war is a punishment for sin but I don’t know if there is a apparition where she warns America specifically.

Exactly... a peice of land is not his chosen this is what the Jews thought and what Islam thinks and why we have had so many wars- the whole body of Christ is his chosen.

Now that Bush has won, and the Republicans control both the House and the Senate, I believe this is a pivotal four years for us who have labored for about fourty years to overturn Roe v. Wade. Bush will probably elect conservative judges, and we can get laws passed to ban the abominations of abortion, embryonic stem cell research, etc.

This definitely is an answered prayer!! I continue to pray for the lost lives of babies and the souls of the mother's who grieve for them. Somewhere along the way of becoming "modern" Americans we forgot that God remains supreme. I am so glad that we have a leader and more law makers who will put God first and finally abandon the "situational ethics" we have become entangled in.

Wow...somehow the OBOB became part of the "Blame America First" crowd...I agree America isn't God's "chosen" country, but come on....

That's what I mean! The world is to blame for leading us to apathy and yet everyone blames America. The US is the promised land. We are the most blessed nation!

The Apparitions at Akita Japan in the 1970's have Vatican Approval. There is explicit reference to a coming chastisement upon the world. Many other mystics, like St. Faustina, also received revelation regarding future chastisement...

But all these sayings are conditional. If mankind improves, it will not happen. God's mercy, as it has been said, is great.
