Can you give some examples of these policies? Leaving aside pandemic-related stimulus money, since that was in response to extraordinary circumstances and isn't permanent.
Generally agreed that it's a good idea to work towards balancing the budget, but there's no reason why we should be restricted from increasing the budget as needed, so long as those increases are paid for.
Increasing minimum wage does not cause inflation (at least not runaway inflation). And if anything, you would expect the minimum wage to increase to account for inflation, which hasn't happened, leading to a significant drop in the value of minimum wage. The federal minimum wage has stayed static for the simple reason that Congress refuses to increase it.
Generally agreed, though it's important to recognize that there will always be a subset of the population that's incapable (physically or mentally) of working. You will never have 100% of the working-age population employed - in any country, ever. There's a reason why economists generally consider ~3-5% unemployment to be "full employment."
Yes, it is a huge problem. So far, the only reasonable solution that I've seen is instituting some form of UBI. Creating busywork for everyone isn't helpful. I'd rather make sure everyone has the necessities, then allow them to pursue their passions.
