Genesis 1 also tells you in 1:25-27 that men and women, plural, were spoken into existence together. Again, this is your fallible, human interpretation of the Bible. Where do you get the certainty that you, a fallible human, are interpreting the Bible correctly? Especially when verses of the Bible contradict your interpretation?

You don't? I would say that you tell God how He had to create. Create like you say you read just some of the verses. That's more chutzpah than I will ever have. It is also stealing glory from God and giving it to Ark Guy. Ark Guy gets to tell God!

Ark Guy, I've asked you this before: just what is "evolutionISM"? Please answer this time.

As I've said to you several times, there are two "Words of God". God really did create. You keep denying this. God tells us plainly in His Creation that evolution is how He Created. The two creation stories in Genesis 1-3 are about the who and why of creation but were never meant to be read as the how.

The fossils could not have been formed that way. There was no world-wide Flood. The flood of Noah was a local flood. Didn't you see the Discovery Channel program last Sunday?

Whoa, whoa, whoa. So we steal glory from Jesus because we say it took him millions of years to do something, when really he was powerful enough to do it in six days? Some power if he couldn't do it in less than an instant! Besides, I much more admire someone who is patient with his efforts than someone who produces things on a whim. Glory to Jesus for taking his time and doing it the way he wanted to do it!

Precisely why I always say: the Bible is not the Word of God. Jesus is the Word of God. You deify the words in the Bible so that you can have your own personal Jesus all in a bottle, ready to be thrown at people at any time you feel it necessary. You have made the Bible a paper Pope that can be relied upon to the neglect of listening to the very One who consecrated it to its work of guidance. Just because God commissioned the words to be written, you think God and all the mysteries of the universe can be utterly summed up in these words by his people, when in reality the Bible was meant to be a testimony of God's dealings with his people to encourage us to know him. The progression of revelation in the Bible begins with God communicating to his people via a myth with pagan analogues, and progresses to the Word of God made flesh, the supreme Testimony of God to man.
