3d = Third day? I can't believe I didnt spot that one!

*Slaps head in disbelief*

Anyway, I lestened to the bit of the album that they put on their website, and I have to say Im none too impressed. I loved offerings and offerings 2, and come together was OK as well, but what Ive heard sounds kinda average, none of this 'taking it to a new level' that they talk about...

Sorry, have I commited a gross heresy by saying this?
You know what though, whewn I listed to the tracks on their website... I didnt like them either, and I was VERY disappointed :( But yesterday like I said, I went out and bought the cd, and it seems like they didnt put the best songs on their website for people to listen to....

Anyways, I think its worth having. The first song on the cd makes it worth it... very good. (Cant remember the name)

Im not sure if I am the only one, but does anyone find that this cd, dosent seem to have as much gosple truth as their other ones did? Now mind you I di dnt read the lyrics or anything yet, but just by listening.... I guess compared to Theif and consuming Fire and all those songs....

Neatly combining your comments, SOTF...

I forgot to actually get a copy after I left work today (I listened to about 6 CD's while I was there and it just passed my mind). Definitely agree that the first couple of tracks set up the album really well.

But I didn't really take much notice of the words, although I always make a note of having the booklet open in front of me to look at them. I thought the same with "Eleventh Hour" by Jars of Clay, in that it was less gospel focussed and not too many direct references to Jesus. But when I do finally remember to buy a copy of Wire, I shall check them out.

Well, as long as it wasn't just me that found the internet sample very disappointing, and it is better on the album, Ill consider it.

I bought a few nice new hi-fi separates the other day, so I need something new to try it all out with! :D

KristainJ, I like the button in your sig. Is that done with the
tag?

Oh yeah, and are there any albums out there along the lines (musically and lyrically) of the offerings albums? I find them so good just to lie back and listen to.

All spoiler, ab1385. Click on vB Code down in your posting rules and you'll be directed to a nifty page that'll show you how it works.

As for similar albums, you could probably go for the Passion CD's (Matt Redman, Chris Tomlin et al.) or the City on a Hill series for a full studio feel (plus 3d are part of that series too). Both sets have great lyrics most importantly, and some really good music as well.

KJ's right, I can't go past Passion, in particular their last three, OneDay, Sacred Revolution and the best one IMO, Our Love is Loud.

In addition, you may want to try MWS's Worship or Worship again if you prefer a bit more of a somber experience. Both amazing worship albums.
