Sorry about the pain there SeaJoy. It gets really old doesn't it.

I know what I do to make my pain pills kick in faster, but its not Doctor recommended so I couldn't tell you, but I'll remember a prayer for Ya.

Thanks Jim. The pain is actually worse this morning. I only slept for 3 1/2 hours. Hubby is giving me the day off.
How do you get those pills to kick in faster?????

Well, it rained all day and I enjoy cooking when I have time, so after church we were challenged for things to do. Food seemed the logical indulgence.
Instead of cheesecake, have fresh fruit and cream instead. I do either that or have some dark chocolate chips with a bit of whipped cream or pudding. Satisfying but not too indulgent.

Oh, and if that's not tempting enough, The Ten Commandments is in the DVD player.

It is one of the draw backs to living in a smaller community, but then meeting Christian singles our age is very challenging, and single, older Lutherans seem close to extinct.

I wish I could feel better to. I feel like I went back 20 steps today, instead of moving forward. All I did yesterday, was help Hubby bag some leaves. Almost nothing compared to what I used to do.

I've been known to be quite elusive, though. West Texas is vast and open and I can survive in the outdoors longer than they could search. Of course, my father would be glad to help them find me to be rid of me.

Not to worry, when word gets around town that two available bachelors in town, the single women over 35 will descend on them like locusts. I'd like to watch that!

I have a friend from college who's best buddy was studying at Concordia in Austin and apparently women loved the idea that he was studying to be a pastor. Must be the opposite of those women who find bad boys irresistable.

There's that age thing again... I'm used to it. Extinct is something my children are always alluding to in regards to me. After all, they used to think that the neighbor's names when I was growing up were Flintstone and Rubble. My eldest child, in all honesty, asked me once if 'Little House On The Prairie' was accurate.
"Did they really live that way?" she asked me.
"I suppose so," I answered. "It seems more historically accurate than most programmes."
"But don't you know?" she persisted.
"Just because I train horses to pull carriages, doesn't mean that I was born around the Civil War, luvie," I told her. "Even Grampa Keith isn't that old." Her opinion of me hasn't changed overmuch through the years.
I'm just fifty and my children think Methusela was my first cousin and that dinosaurs roamed the earth when I was a child.
