Very pretty, Stude. I love flowers.

Yeah, so do I. Mum and I shared that. The pictured plant has to be divided this year. Along with an Oncidium. My collection is growing (if you'll forgive bad puns)!

If you ladies like, I'll post some shots of the Oncidium that's currently getting ready to bloom. It'll be another week or so though. That one likes to tease me by taking her own good time about things. She's worth waiting for though.

"I would rather drink blood with a Roman than wine with Calvin," (Martin Luther).

The quote is "I would rather have pure blood with the Pope, than drink mere wine with the Enthusiasts." (Luther's Works, 37, 317)

Just an FYI...

I have a feeling Seajoy is referring to a thread that is discussing Eucharist Adoration- not Catholics practices in general.

Oh, right. I hadn't read very far into it.

Stude, I wasn't talking about your Reverence thread....I was talking about the elca/lcms personality thread. And you are right - it should be taken up in the other part of the forum.

Still, it seems to me that those advocating some type of adoration are either unclear on how to word their experience during communion or they haven't yet come to understand the difference between benefit by reception and being present during the sacrament. We all grow and come to understand these things in our own time, according to His will.

Yes, well he also said it, "I would rather drink blood with the Papists than wine with the Swiss," likely referring to the followers of Zwinglii.

I've never seen tie-dyed orchids before. I love them!!

Share all the pretty flowers you want - just because I don't like to grow them, doesn't mean I don't like them, or appreciate the work it takes to grow them.

Weddings are so exciting, QA. Enjoy this time!

I'm walking for Life, with a bunch of Reformed folks today. You can't find a Lutheran here to save your life! (our church is 30 miles away). Anyway, these people are so kind to me - and I've had lots of fun with them already.

<snip>Another questions is: Where IS everybody?

George and I went on a mini-holiday down California 101. We went to visit George's (sort of) foster Mother in Ferndale, CA. Then we went down CA 101 visiting all the Tourist traps and several places they don't go, did the obligatory drive through the Redwood tree etc... Had a ton of fun being a Tourist for a few days. The final stop was my Daughter's in Santa Rosa. I haven't seen her in person for six or seven years. Didn't realize how much I missed her. It was even worth being in the same room with the Boa. After that it was the long drive home. Nana made sure we made numerous potty stops for her. She can be very vocal when she wants a stop (LOL).

Ran around with Mr. Flipper - ended up at Trader Joe's. We LOVE Trader Joe's. Wish there was one closer to our home.

I'm having a Pampered Chef party tomorrow - helping a friend wanting to start her own business. Bought most of what groceries we needed at Trader's, and I thought the price was reasonable, but they didn't have everything we needed, so we had go to our regular grocery store for the rest. Got a fraction of what we bought at Trader's and spent twice as much. Go figure.
