  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Think I'll sit down here for a bit... (8)

:wave:Hi Porter! One thing about Seajoy's cyber-kitchen, it's never out of ANYTHING! Have some tea (hands PR a cup and the teapot). And there are no calories in cyber-food.:D

Fabulous! Make mine peppermint, please. My tummy is a bit unsettled.
:)

Latebloomer passes the peppermint tea to Porterross, and hot cocoa to QuiltAngel. She passes a mug to DaRev and asks if he would like tea, cocoa, coffee, soup, or something else. Hot beverages on the table tonight, the cold ones are still in the fridge.

Well, being that it's so late, may I have a cup of cocoa?

Seajoy, here, have a cup of hot cocoa. (Latebloomer hands Seajoy a big mug.) Would you like some marshmallows? Anyone else for hot chocolate?

Brrr, it has been raining here all day and it's supposed to snow tomorrow. Goodbye nice weather, hello November.
I love hot cocoa. Thanks, LB. :)
And thanks, everyone, for the nice "welcome back".

We had a concert at the campground we stayed at. We thought we were alone and all of a sudden we heard someone singing loud at the day use area. It was kind of funny trying to figure out what he was singing. One song we did figure out was Freebird.

When I was in Michigan recently, I found some of the "blooming" tea. I've been wanting to try it, just for the novelty. It's a fairly nice Jasmine, but the flower is lovely indeed. I didn't have a glass teapot anymore (the last one was broken, to be replaced by cobalt blue china), so I make it in a crystal pitcher. You can get three steepings out of each tea bud, which is good because I paid $15 for 12 buds. This is kinda what the flowers look like. Pour yourself a cup!

Synger, those buds look like something you might buy and smoke for "medicinal" purposes if you get my drift. ^_^

I love the flower in the teapot, though. Clear ones aren't easy to find.

Well, I need to make me a To Do list and stick to it so I can get lots of stuff done around here. May head up to the Twin Cities a couple of days next week.
Well Jane my better half says I need to tell you that we went to McCook and ate at Macs. Great hamburgers and homemade fries. Met some of her relatives half way from Atwood.

I held the the first of three planned yard sales today and it went pretty well. We learned to not wait until the posted opening time to actually open. We were swarmed!
It seems people want my furniture more than anything else, but we need something to sleep and sit on for a few more weeks, so they'll have to wait. Here I was worried about what I would do with all our stuff. :D

Too bad you couldn't toss some things out of the plane over Jersey. There's a few things you have that I like.
