  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Think I'll sit down here for a bit... (8)

Speaking of Star Wars..yesterday I beat the new game that came out a couple days ago. "The Force Unleashed." Pretty awesome on the Wii..

Yeah, we picked that up for the XBox 360 the day it came out. Got the cheater book or as my father-in-law calls it the instruction book. Cuz it tells you where to go, where stuff is, ya know, how to play the game. Everybody is beating that game. One reviewer said you could beat it in two days. Great plot twist in that game. I'm currently playing Mario Kart and Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles for the Wii. I wanna play Deadliest Catch: Alaskan Storm though.

I need to start looking for some games for my xbox

Ask anyone under the age of 20. They'll give you an unending list of what's good. :D

I stick with my Wii sports. It's great for workouts and the only one to beat is yourself, really. I'm too old and slow to try to beat a stupid computer. :p

Sure, sure spoken like a true kid. :D

On another topic: I leave tomorrow for a 3 week teaching tour throughout the northern plains (3 3-day conferences, preaching in 3 churches, visiting 12 churches, and driving ~3,000 miles).

And how far off of I-35 or I-90 are you going? Coffee would have worked if you were.

Have safe travels and may God Bless your preaching and teaching.

Porter,
I am with you on this. Am looking for a Wii Fit, but those are extremely hard to come by.

I drive every weekend up to Ames, IA (not the next three weekends though), so straight shot on I-35 from KC.

I head out west on I-70 tomorrow, then meander up to Billings, MT.

Really? I can get you one. It's one of the benefits of living in a small town. ^_^

I've not bought one because we'll have to sell ours before we leave the US as it won't work overseas. That just means we get a new one, but as they are two years behind in production of European products, I'm afraid I'll be looking in vain for a while.

Oh, well. At least there's a gym at the complex, but that's never as much fun. :sorry:

Who has time for games? Sigh.

Me after an extremely bad day at the warehouse (usually something really violent like Duke Nukem, Dark Cloud, or Ratchet and Clank - try and play that on the WII).

I would love to Play Ratchet on the Wii. But video game companies are very posessive of their characters. You'll never see any Mario game on the PS3 or XBox.

Just looking for some family type games that little kids can play too

Animal Crossing and Harvest Moon games are excellent family type games. And the Wii versions are coming out soon.
