  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Think I'll sit down here for a bit... (7)

I'm so giddy I can hardly stand myself!!

Due to all sorts of concerns and medical reasons and other things, Mike and I made a big decision this weekend.

We moved the wedding date up.

To June 28th.

Oh my goodness. Oh my goodness.

I've got the nervous giggles. I can't sleep I'm so excited and I think I'm gonna plotz. *G* :swoon::swoon:

And who knows, with the wedding in June, I MIGHT be able to convince Himself that our "honeymoon" could be in St Louis somewhere 'round August??? *G*

Ladies (and gents) any advice??

Kae
This is wonderful, Kae. Please, please have your honeymoon in St Louis. I would love to meet you both.
God's blessings. :prayer:

LOL Yeah, I'll do that.

I mean, any advice about the wedding?? It's a really really short time to be doing all the planning in, but we're not having a huge one. Just close family and close family friends (who really should be considered "family")

Kae

 Congrats! Now, get busy!!!!!

You don't want advice from someone who hyperventilates at the thought of their own wedding, or do you? :sorry:

If so, keep a neatly folded paper sack and some smelling salts tucked up your sleeve. :swoon:

Well, considering that I get hives when I'm stressed and I cry at any wee bit of emotion...

Hyperventilation might be a blessing. :D :p

wedding night? you mean when husband and wife go to bed still dressed, with horrible head aches and sweating and aching feet after a long day of stress and nervousness?
You think that is bad, three months after Hope and I got married, I managed to bar-b-que the car.

So I found this great new way to waste time when I'm supposed to be writing...LOL.

It's called Stumble Upon and it's an add on for Firefox. (I'm not sure if it works with other browsers...yet) Basically, you download it (no malware or anything like that) and it installs a tool bar. There's a button that says "Stumble!" and it will randomly go to a web page. The picks are based on what you tell the site when you sign up (like mine are ancient history, books, art, music, etc) and then you can rate pages you go to.

I've had the most fun pressing that button. LOL You never know what will turn up. I haven't seen anything objectionable either which is really cool.

Oh, and Lambie? Are you working on your 101 in 1001 list? I'm stuck at number 80.
