Okay, so I have a funny story. I was looking at a thread in the LDS forum, and there was this video disproving the book of Mormon. It was a very interesting video, and I wanted to look at this supposed book of Mormon, so I went to the LDS website and clicked on the little "get free book of Mormon" link, filled out a form, and was done.

So like two days later I'm sitting on the couch and my brother comes in saying there's company for me at the door. My first thought was "how did someone get my address" lol but I went and discovered it was Mormon missionaries (the elders from the local LDS temple). As quickly as they had come, they handed me the book and some of their church literature and left me alone.

Anyways, I was surprised at how quickly they responded! Haha if you even would think about action being taken that quickly in our church! Too bad we don't take lesson from the passion of non-Christian churches once in awhile..which is really quite sad if you think about it..

But anyways, you're probably waiting for the funny part..but the story's over now.

So I'm gonna quit burning the midnight oil and hit the hay. :) (Oh yes, and happy thread split everyone! Does this occassion constitue reason to get off of school tomorrow? ;))

You don't really think that is going to be your last visit from them do you? No way. They know where you live now and they think, you're interested in becoming a Mormon. LOL I'll be praying for you.

Mornin' everyone! We are starting off by talking about Mormans? Well, at least they are conservative....too bad they have most everything else messed up though.
How can you call a religion that allows for multiple wives, conservative? That seems way liberal to me. LOL

I knew somebody would come back with that one! :D Should have known who that would be! LOL
What are you saying here?

*Zec asks Seajoy with his arms folded while taping his foot with great indignation*

:p

You're the one that hangs out with the guys while the hubby is away. LOL In fact, I think you should liberate the women in the LDS and tell them that what is good for the man is good for the woman. Imagine, women with multiple husbands. LOL ^_^

Yes---we should take that as a disquieting aspect of our own zealousness. Look at the Muslims. Notice that the Mormons and the Muslims are the largest growing religions in the US

Multiple wives? I always thought that would be interesting. Like OT people. 'Course I can't even handle one. Still................

What a horrific idea. :swoon: All I can envision is an increase in housework and frustration.

No, thank you!!!
