Aloe Vera. Lots of it.Anybody have an idea on how to heal a burn? I burned my hand in the oven while taking out a pizza the other night, now my hand is pretty red and gross looking.
I've used some anti-biotic ointment and a large bandage for now. I do think it's infected.
The real action in soccer happens after one of the teams loses and the fans rush the field and take to the streets.

Ummmm....well, I did ask for ideas as to how to heal a burn.I'm not telling you to try it, but I know first hand (no pun intended) that it does work. Almost instant relief.

Thanks Kae!When I worked in the ER, we'd use a bit of Dreft laundry soap to soak burns in to help them stop burning. It's a very very gentle soap. Dreft, cool water and then a bit of ice in the water once the burn had stopped. (burns keep burning even when you pull away from the heat.)
I sure hope it feels better soon!

Heh, urine is sterile, that's a fact. And I've heard the same thing.
Not sure I'd recommend it...but I have heard it.
Seajoy, now that the burn has stopped burning, you can use a little ice to bring down any swelling. Take an aspirin (or tylenol if you're cursed like me and can't take any NSADS) and keep the hand elevated. (that helps with the pain) If there are any blisters, DO NOT pop them. Let them be because the liquid inside helps with the burn. If they pop on their own, put nesporin on them and call your doctor.

"and keep the hand elevated."
My parents, brother, and sister are Fundy...if that helps any. She's a Lutheran. She is forbidden to elevate her hands in any way.

But what about that whole "if your hand causes you to sin" thing? I'd rather have a burnt hand than a stump. LOLHave one of them hold it up for you.
Plausible deniability.
Moses must have been Lutheran. Didn't his brother Aaron help hold up his arms?Have one of them hold it up for you.
I must agree with you there! But what about that whole "if your hand causes you to sin" thing? I'd rather have a burnt hand than a stump. LOL
