Yes, but that is rare. Most of the time you are just staying up late for homework or playing on the computer. (then, of course he gets up at 4am to go to work)

I head the Braille, I wanted to try and get more involved in helping before I left. We just finished with it about a week ago. I ended up running off a lot of the braille sheets myself. I didn't go sunday, a couple of people said there was hardly anyone there. One said she tried counting, she counted 17 adults and maybe with kids made it about 25 there sunday. Average was running 80 to 100 a week before the pastor left. Usually runs now between 30 to 40. People are leaving cause they know they can't change anything and everyone's afraid to say anything. I know I cant change it not by myself anyway.

It's not easy. All I have left to do is officially transfer my membership, but be prepared for the guilt trips that might come your way once you announce your leaving. That's pretty stressful, too.

I think part of its a guilt trip too. I mentioned to the interim pastor I wanted to transfer, not this past sunday but the Sunday before last, he said I didn't need to leave, they needed me there, blah, blah blah.

I feel no guilt on leaving my church for another. I feel my reasons were justified according to scripture. I just need to get the transfer going to.

If they push it too far, it will make things more clear to you why you have to leave, though. It did for me.

If you view things differently, so be it, but they need to accept that and respect your right to do what you think is best for your faith. It's sad that some people just can't see that and think they can force you to their way of thinking.

How far apart are these Miss Synod churches, anyway? Do you really have that many in the area?

There's one 25 miles from me, the one I've been going to is 13 miles from me, another one is about 15-16 miles from me, another one is about 25 miles.

Hope just won a $25 gift card for Target. I have to admit, Target is a real strange organization. It is rare that a subsidiary becomes so successful that it buys out the parent organization.
