So, any speciality in art? Oil, water color...? Portraits?
I always wanted to draw, but my mathematical aptitude pushed me to draw rectangles....

I would like to be a writer.
Or more accurately... I would like to have written. *grins* It's the discipline of actually doing it that I've lacked.
Ok, if you could have ANY career BESIDES the one you have now (even if it's a stay at home mom), what would you rather be doing?
The first time I went to college, I wanted to be a history teacher. I also looked seriously into archeology. Unfortunately, I wasn't mature enough to leave home for college that first year and managed to lose my scholarship and get on academic probation, so that was that
(I learned my lesson and graduated magna cum laude 11 years later - kids let this be a lesson to you - finish school the first time when your parents are still willing and able to pay for some of it - they are not as inclined to continue paying for it if you drop out because not studying, spending time with your boyfriend, skipping classes and a vodka & orange juice habit put you on academic probation).
Some days I like being a paralegal because I get to use a little of every subject I learned in school, and some days, I so badly want to get out of it. I really don't know what I'd want to do. I have a degree in business, and I thought it would be cool to open a franchise of some sort, maybe. It's just I've done what I've been doing so long, and it pays pretty well, though we can afford for me to take a paycut. It's such a risk. Part of me still wants to get into teaching.
In my fourth try at college I learned that you are never too old to go for your degree.
I graduated high school in three years then went to a two year college... for three years. Wasn't put on AP because I withdrew my third semester. (Girlfriend at home and tooooo much partying was my downfall.) But when I went back the next year I made the Dean's list.
It's tough getting back into the academic mode once you've been out for nearly 20 years.
I got my BA through a non-traditional program through CUW, ...I did it in 18 months), not like the rest of their lives.
At the same time, there were single parents with small children, or brand new parents, and they got through it with flying colors. I couldn't imagine doing it with children, especially small children. I really admired them.
hmmm...sounds like my bio. An Assoc degree wasn't enough but a pregnant girlfriend and too much partying ended that. Shotgun wedding finalized the whole thing.I graduated high school in three years then went to a two year college... for three years. Wasn't put on AP because I withdrew my third semester. But it wasn't until I was 38 that I finally learned that an AAS degree isn't worth the paper it's written on, except to go towards a Bachelor's degree, which I needed to enter seminary. It's tough getting back into the acedemic mode once you've been out for nearly 20 years.

I did marry the GF after college (no shotgun necessary) but three kids and 7 years later, she decided that being a wife and mother just wasn't her bag.
Did you reply with "And you're figuring this out now." ??
Is she still single or did she remarry after so many years? If it's NOMB just say so.
Is everyone bearing there souls here tonight? Looks like the kitchen has been busy.
Part of your souls then, I guess. Not entirely. Some things I reserve only for PM's. (If you know what I mean.)
