Although sometimes it is really rough, I'm happy being at home with the kids. I look at it as an extremely important job, but also as my ministry. It is a tough job to raise children and to instill within them faith in the Lord.

I fantasized for years about going to Israel and being an archaeologist.. When I was young James Michener wrote a book called "Something of Value". Anyway I think that was the title and the idea has fascinated me ever since. Also a marine archaeologist.

Medicine has fascinated me to. I did some research work for a lawyer friend of mine years ago for malpractice litigations and it was fascinating. I even have the ER PC games.

I hear that, having been a single father for 17 years.

I had dreams of working in the television industry and did for several years. But it became clear that it wasn't what God had intended for me. Right now, I can't imagine doing anything else than what I'm doing.

Oh, hi everyone. Wondered where you all went.

Hmm...what would I want to be when I grow up...assuming, of course, that I ever DO grow up...

When I was very young (8 or 9) I wanted nothing more than to be a Pastor. I remember telling Pastor that I wanted to be one when I grew up and he was so kind and gentle telling me that God had another plan for me. (Being a girl and all that) Then, once I hit confirmation, he started talking to me about becoming a Deaconess. I actually started college with that intention, but God showed me I had other things to do. Perhaps someday I'll get back into it.

So, I guess my answer would be, A Deaconess.

Let's see, since I was graduated from college, I have been a math/physics teacher, college teacher (math), Naval Intelligence Officer, pastor, college teacher (theology), analyst, pastoral mentor, writer,.... plus 9 years of post-graduate education.

What do I want to be when I grow up? Well, that would be when I am about 150 years old, or so.

I would like to be a veterinarian (love animals), an architect (love design), full time writer, an electrician (provided I could rid myself of the arthritis), programmer....

How's that for a wish list?

I would have loved to persue an Architectural degree. Unfortuneately, it never happened. I still draw and design buildings for fun. My favourite period is Victorian, Queen Anne style.

Another thing I used to do and would love to have been able to make a living at is training Carriage horses. I dearly love horses. My people skills being what they are and the expense of the equipment... well, something else that didn't pan out.

Other things from the past that I wanted to do: work with emotionally disturbed children, be an opera singer, be a writer, and when I was 7 I wanted to be a zookeeper!
