just out of curiosity, how many of you know each other offline too?

I've met QuiltAngel...it was at her church for the funeral of one of my relatives. I'm related to a lot of the people in the cemetery beside her little country church.

Hi everyone! I don't post much, but I still check in here.

Mr. Bloomer & I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary yesterday. We met with a social worker, signed a ton of papers, then took the kids to lunch. Adoption day for our daughter should be sometime in July or early August. Tiger is pretty happy about a big sister, but if asked, he usually says he'd rather have bubblegum.

Have you guys set up another future visit. It helps a lot to have that set up.

I will say though that after my wife went home the time I asked her to marry me, I was depressed for quite a long time and I was afraid I might have to go into therapy or something. That was the toughest time. The 2nd toughest time was when I went home for the first time when I first visited her.

*Note the date of the license issue is not our wedding day, that is just the day we dropped by the courthouse to get the license issued so that it could be signed on the wedding day.*

Really CJ, you need to boil your posts down a bit. Succinctness is a virtue with most protestants. The R.C. you are discussing with is almost in agreement with you at this point, which is just about as far as you are going to get him. However, our Non-Denom. friend is kind of confused. Remember, the Protestants and a lot of the RC look at Law as being the codes of Moses. We Lutherans look at Law as where any Scripture says, "do this!"

Not all of us are Engineers, Luv. We don't need detailed instructions on how Faith, Grace, and Scripture all work to save us. Most of us just need to know that they do. Many of those that need more explanation have already made up their minds and too much detail just confuses them.

By the by, I thought your point with the five hour flight to Hawaii was quite good. You expressed a complete faith that the landing would be safe. Either in Hawaii or Heaven. The confusion of our Non. Denom. friend is a perfect illustration of my point though.

Succinctness is a virtue when dealing with Protestants. Like I can talk, right?

Well... I went out and took some pictures of the garden and Mother's orchid's opening spikes. The Lillies aren't as tall as last year, but the Snap dragons look nicer. By the by, those Snappies in the foreground of the last picture, are volunteers. I thought you all might enjoy them:

Yeah, Sis, I really like the Snappies a lot too! They've naturalized here. The ones in the foreground of the picture came up all by themselves. The ones in the back are almost four years old. They seem to like it here. Here's another shot. I cut some of the Snappies and some lillies (my two favourites):
