Great. It's never a good sign when the thread you were debating limited atonement in suddenly disappears.

/awaits disciplinary action

You must be doing something right then.

LMAO, Yes I've noticed that about this forum!

Well, I tried again calling my Brother and Sister in Virginnia and still got a rapid busy. After some research (which I should have done a few years ago), I found their area code changed several years ago. So, tried the number with the new area code and Voila! It rang. Unfortuneately, to the wrong party. So, back to square one. I know that thirteen or so years ago she was suffering from Congestive heart failure. So, it's likely that Wendy is dead. Blaine is the one I don't know about. I haven't spoken to him in ten years. Yet, I don't know. There is a company called Intellius that has some information on him, but when one accesses it, they want to be paid and paid, and paid... Each layer adds five, ten, and more to the total. Looked like too much of a scam. I know this stuff is available on the net, but how to get it is just frustrating the crap out of me! The state of Virginia won't even let me know if they have any records on either of them without jumping through a bunch of hoops. Add to that, they want a date of death. I don't even know if either or both of them are even dead yet!!

Oi.

Sorry. I just needed to... I don't know, vent I guess.

Hey Stude, you may have already done this, but I've located people before using 411.com. They only have to have a publicly listed phone number and you need to know what state they live in.

You might also just try typing into a google search their name or the name of any other family members who might know how to reach them - cousins, children, etc. Same with Facebook. Just about every family has at least a few members on FB.

Vent away, Stude!

Oh...guess what? My mom said my dad went to an auction yesterday and bought a 52 white Studebaker!

So, I'm guessing your dad isn't going to be going out of the house ever again!

Let dear old Dad know that joining the Studebaker Driver's Club will make owning that car a lot easier. He'll have access to help and parts that aren't otherwise easy to find.

Does the car look something like this:

Yes I tried 411.com, ATT.com, and several others. They all referred me to a third-party vendor who wanted forty to seventy dollars for the information. I know they have it because the tidbits they did let me see were correct (middle name, age, previous residence, etc...) I think it really stinks that the bureaucracy will deny me that information and these jerks know how to find it free only to milk me! All I want to know if if he's still alive. Is that too much to ask without being milked? It stinks being poor sometimes.

Sorry, that's me... having a pity party... sorry about that. No, I don't want cheese with my whine either!

I am so very tired of stormy weather. Took us 1.5 hours longer to get home from Nebraska yesterday than it should have. We thought we were getting out ahead of it, but it was moving faster than we were. Spent a half an hour on the side of the road waiting out a t-storm warning which turned into a tornado warning. No tornadoes where we were. Then when we got to the next town, we took a long supper to let more of the storm pass. Then about a half hour later, needed to wait it out again. This time there were branches flying around. Got home and within 5 minutes, I was sound asleep. Guess more came through during the night, but I knew nothing.

The weekend with family was wonderful. Our niece's husband was ordained into the ministry. He is the third one in the family. Have a nephew starting Seminary this fall so in four years, we will have four in the family.

It was great spending time with the extended family and to celebrate Aaron's ordination.

Glad you are ok after all your storm stuff, QA. It sounds like my trip to VBS the other night.

God has richly blessed my husband and I over the last few days. Hubby has been promoted to manager over 5 other men at work, and we are moving into a nicer, larger home in September. God amazes us at every turn.

Did not our Lord say, "I will never forsake you or leave you." Sometimes I must admit that the lessons and (I suppose) nessessary privations are a bit much, however I've come to the conclusion that he will do what he will and I have to just wait him out. Sometimes that's really hard though...

I'm so glad things have finally started to turn around for you and yours, Sis. Lord knows, you have been patient and willing to follow where he leads. Are you sure you want the larger, nicer house?
LOL, they are just that much more to maintian and clean.

This house of George's has taught me that a smaller home can be very nice.
However, it sure is nice to have all that elbow room, isn't it?

Well, it appears that my younger-older Brother and my Sister are both gone. Wendy passed in 2001 and Blaine in 2007, and I just found out today. Why would anyone choose to die alone like that? Seems that my brother's telephone remained on and operating for several months after his death. I called and left my current phone number when moving here. That explains why he never called back. He could at least have told me about Wendy.
