I've had three colds this spring already....then again, it could be allergies. Any ideas, Mel?

Also - please keep my daughter in your prayers, everyone. She has to have surgery on thursday morning. We are praying for good news.

I'd go with allergies. The pollen has been really bad everywhere this year. I used to get by on occasional Claritin, and this year I've had to move up to Zyrtec, and I feel miserable if I miss a dose.

Yeah, Mel, I'm in the same boat. Gosh, Zyrtec is expensive though! Funny, CVS here in town has it for three dollars less than Rite Aid in Redding. That's a switch! I've been staying inside near the air filter a lot.

Porter, since I don't have any gelcaps for now, I've added cayanne to everything that pepper goes on. Probably won't work as well, but one can try, right?

Well, I had one of the best Memorial days ever yesterday!

A new friend invited me over to see their ponies, talk horses, meet more friends, and enjoy great Bar-B-Q. Had a wonderful day. She offered me some mini-horses (just tiny ponies really). They're cute as a bug's ear and tiny. Most are smaller than a Dane and only slightly larger than a German Shepherd. Gosh, one can almost keep them in a dog kennel, LOL! Silly things remind me of the Thelwell ponies. I've begun seriously thinking of taking two or three of them and then began to wonder what the cost of keeping them might be. Then I thought of the poor Farrier. He'd likely have to put the little buggers on a dog grooming table or Goat milking stanchon. then I remembered this cartoon:

A mini-horse's foot is smaller than a Demitasse cup. I figure they'd be good for mowing the lawn at least.

With goats and sheep for lawnmowers you always have an option of putting them to ultimate use in the kitchen if they don't work out, but with horses not so much. Mini horses are pretty cute, though.

Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 70. Calm wind.

Friday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny and hot, with a high near 97. Calm wind becoming north around 5 mph.

Stopped at a yard sale saturday and they had a mini, it was soooo cute, the guy said he has some for sale at his parents house, now to talk hubby into fixing a place for one, he said they were only $200 each
