  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Think I'll sit down here for a bit... (10)

Take a bucket of water, preferably hot from the tap and mix ina really generous amount of dish soap. Get up close to the nest so you can accuartely through the soapy water on them. If you used enough soap they won't even be able to fly and they will die quickly. The soap breaks down there skeletal body. If you have to use a second or 3rd dose. This works on hornets, wasps and bees, of course I wouldn't kill a bee, they is pretty :)

I dunno. Methinks you forgot the; run like the devil himself was after you, part.:smirk: As to bees, I wouldn't bother with them on the shop, except for the fact that a beehive will attract bears in this area. I sure wouldn't want a bear tearing up the shop to get to the bees.

Wish I had a paint ball gun...:p

Nano allows you to write memoirs, scripts, and non-fiction so you can do just fine with a travelogue ;)

Yes, except this was a fictional travelogue.;) Godric's Hollow doesn't exist. I love the names of British villages, like Puxley on Wye, for instance. Picturesque to say the least.:)

Waitaminit! Aibrean, you started writing your first book at thirteen? Impressive, very impressive!

My favorite way of discouraging hornets is; stand about 30 feet away with a 12 ga. loaded with #9 shot, let fly, and run for cover.

My choice would be a 7x57 Mauser loaded with 160 grain solid points. Bear meat is darn tasty!;)

Not a cloud in the sky and 58 degrees.

Ok... maybe a little cloud. This is the view from my office.

supposedly theres a big storm coming this way, but right now the weather here in central connecticut is beautiful. whats it like where you are?

I don't believe it. I lived in CT for 18 years and mid-October weather was always cold and depressing. Skies were overcast, you needed a leather jacket, the leaves may be turning but that was about the only bright spot I remember. But even those fell off the tree and died. ^_^

1. Yes it's a cell phone (HTC Incredible)
2. It's not Xenia (like there are any jobs there!) it's downtown Dayton. Xenia doesn't have skyscraper either. It's a small city. There are electric RTA buses in Dayton.
3. Yea...there is a picture there.

FYI...Bible are getting very awesome! Hubby and I were at Book & Co and were impressed by the diversity in covers (although the ESV section is quite small). I got him this one. The LSB is coming out in a compact form which I wish I would have known about earlier but it's ok because I have it already in more formats than I probably need lol.

I have the Large Print LSB hardcover and I have the LSB on my iPhone, but am looking to add the electronic edition on my notebook. I don't know if I could handle the compact version, as I couldn't read the print in the regular leather bound edition I originally ordered and the pages were just way too fragile for me. Way too thin.

We are leaving early in the morning to go to Blue Ridge Georgia, we got a cabin in the mountains. Check in time isn't until 4 so we are going to Helen Georgia before we go to Blue Ridge, Helen has supposedly the longest Oktoberfest in the United states.

Oktoberfest
