Try giving her some warm milk, a good sized dish of it, and believe it or not you could also give her some asparagus. I have an e-mail that says to either use canned which is already cooked or cook it and run it through a blender. Give two tablespoons twice a day. This is of course not a cure for old age, but if we look at it honestly most beings don't die of old age but rather they let there defences get down and are overcome by illness. I had a really great blonde Lab that died of cancer about 4 years ago and I wished I had known of this diet then.

This asparagus diet was intended for people as a treatment for cancer but I think it will help purge out what ills almost anyone or anything. I alsom want to make a disclamer here that I am not recommeding it a cure for cancer for humans or pets, its just an email I recieved.

Im so emotionally drained right now. I tried to call out of work tonight but they wouldnt cut me a break. I feel like someone took a vaccum and sucked the life out of me.

It is normal to feel this way when you are starting to grieve. Get through work as best you can, then come home and be with your dear pupper.

Thanks for the info/advice. But she died tonight when I was at work in my mom's arms. My dad buried her in the back yard. My dad was even crying and hes not someone who cries very often. Me and mom both started crying when I got home when we started to talk about what we said to her today before she died. I just thank God I did not see the actual death and burial because that would have made me even sadder. The last time I saw her she was still breathing. crazy day...

Thank you work was tough at times because I found out through the phone by my dad that she died and he was crying. Then I talked to my mom who explained what happened when she got home, how my dog shuttered and then stopped breathing while she was holding her. It was emotional for the whole family, my sister is very saddened by this, I just talked to her like an hour ago.

Matt, my heart goes out to you both. We lost our beautiful boy a few weeks ago and it still really hurts.

Thank you, but your situation is way worse in my opinion. My heart goes out to you. I'm sorry.

I've been there this year too Matt. The hardest part is going to be dealing with your beloved friend's belongings. Do it soon. Putting it off will only make it more painful. Make sure you put away the leash as well. You have my most sincere sympathy.

So sorry, Matt. It will take a bit for you to get past this. It will hurt for a while. Just know that this is normal.

Thank you. I know theres nothing I can do about it, and that gives me peace.

Matt, am sorry about your
dog. Sounds like she had been a faithful friend for a long time.

Thank you. Yes, it was a good friend to my whole family for a very long time.

Thank you. Its tough but I guess I have to look at it as, its just the way it goes. Everything eventually dies and my dog did live a very long time. That being said, even as I wake up this morning I'm only about 50% my normal self, its going to take a little bit longer for me to fully move on.

I've heard it said that when a loved one dies, a hole of that person's shape is left in our heart. This wound heals over time, but never quite closes the hole. There will be reminders, moments of memory... everyday routine that will bring your beloved to mind. My best advice here is to get a towel and visit the restroom a lot. Privacy... helps sometimes. Especially at work. For some reason, supervisors and bosses seem to have the empathy of a teaspoon. You still have your family, so avail yourself of their support. Just remember and hold onto the blessing of the very long friendship and love you shared.

Oh good grief - data base error - lets try this again.

Central time - yuck. It's 3:15am here in Wisconsin and I'm ready for coffee that I won't get because daughter's coffee maker is broke. "Hubby dear?" "can you run to Kwik Trip and get me a coff...." zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Guess not.

We are heading to the ELCA wedding in Minnesota later today. I sure look forward to being with my kids.

To those of you who have been praying for hubby and I - thank you. Things sure look a whole lot better after yesterday. Praise our Lord for His mercy and kindnesses.

I had a silver punch bowl and cups that I was trying to sell, on consignment, at an antique store. I drove past there 2 days ago, and there is a sign that says "Bank owned property" and the building is empty. Guess I'm out one punch bowl and 12 cups. Story of my silly life.

Find out which bank owns the property and ask where your silver set is.

Revrand, most businesses lease the building they reside in. The tennant has moved on to another location. It is possible that they're still in business, just at another location? Sis, have you tried to contact them by phone or letter?
