  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

In the scriptures we learn of the shake down to come Isaiah 13:13;"Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of his fierce angerIsaiah 24:19; “The earth is utterly broken down, the earth is clean dissolved, the earth is moved exceedinglyIsaiah 24:20; “The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again.
Also here we see a reference to the heaven and earth shaking when the Lord shall roar out of Zion.

Joel 3:16; “The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.”

Also after the fullness of the Gentiles is fulfilled then the Deliverer comes…Romans 11:26;
“And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:”

Signs in the heavens and in the earth before the great and terrible day of the Lord come…
Joel 2:30-31; “And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the LORD come.”

Same signs confirmed by Jesus..
Luke 21:11; “And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven
Signs in the earth and the heavens; also the signs specific to the sun, moon and stars ...
Joel 2:10; “The earth shall quake before them, the heavens shall tremble; the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining.”
Joel 2:31;”The sun shall be turned into darkness and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.”
Joel 3:15; “The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining.”

And the same spoken of after the tribulation of those days (fullness of the Gentiles)

Matthew 24:29
"Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken,

Mark 13:24;"But in those days, after that tribulation, `the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, 25: And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken

Powers shaken things removed by the Lords voice…

Hebrews 12:26-27 26whose voice then shook the earth. But now He hath promised, saying, "Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven." 27And these words, "yet once more," signifies the removing of those things which can be shaken, such as things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.

Those things shaken…
Luke 21:26
Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

And again we read, He shall shake heaven and earth by His voice…Hebrews 12:26; “Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven

The Lord shall utter his voice from heaven… Jeremiah 25:30; “Therefore prophesy thou against them all these words, and say unto them, The LORD shall roar from on high, and utter his voice from his holy habitation; he shall mightily roar upon his habitation; he shall give a shout, as they that tread the grapes, against all the inhabitants of the earth.”

Joel 2:11; “And the LORD shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executes his word: for the day of the LORD is great and very terrible; and who can abide it?
Again the timing after those days (fullness Gentiles) and the events that follow…
Matthew 24:29; “Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken

And again, the timing, and events confirmed….
Revelation 6:12; “And I beheld when He had opened the sixth seal, and lo, there was a great earthquake, and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood
Revelation 6:13; “And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casts her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty windRevelation 6:14; “And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
Same wording here in Isaiah 34:4; “And all the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll: and all their host shall fall down, as the leaf falls off from the vine, and as a falling fig from the fig tree

And again those things shaken and removed, and those things that remain.
Haggai 2:6; “For thus saith the LORD of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land;
Hebrews 12:25-28; “See that ye refuse not him that speaks. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaks from heaven:26 Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.27 And this word, Yet once more, signify the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.28 Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:”

And finally some good solid advice on how to remain….

Luke 6:47-4947 Whosoever cometh to me, and hears my sayings, and doeth them, I will show you to whom he is like:48 He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a Rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a Rock.49 But he that hears, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.

Well, I didn't catch the question, but in my humble opinion all that is referring to some commotion in the cosmos.
I think it's more like toward the end of the Great Tribulation, when the 2 last prophets/witnesses are killed and 3 days latter they are risen and called up to the clouds by Jesus Christ, during His long awaited second coming.

I LOVE THIS !!! I hope you dont mind I printed it off Bro Spirit

Again it resonates within my Spirit a powerful message of Truth

the thing the Lord is teaching me by this is'' faith '' is the things shaken , so it will be able to remain , Just as Jesus told Peter , satan desire to ''sift you as wheat ''
but I have prayed that your ''faith '' not fail Luk 22:32But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.

Our thoughts can be the most comforting thing or the most tormenting thing consuming us , we are driven by our thoughts to act , by single minded focus alone on them
this is why so many driven by every wind /spirit of doctrine /teaching , that is by God or not by Gods Spirit , making us unstable in all our ways , by the sifting , being torn or tormented by our own thoughts that race though our minds so violently . and if we dwell on them negative ones or if we dwell on them positive ones , how we build in our own house or build up one another

or tear down

4947 Whosoever cometh to me, and hears my sayings, and doeth them, I will show you to whom he is like:48 He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a Rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a Rock.49 But he that hears, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.

And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed [it] unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
Mat 16:18And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
:20For meat destroy not the work of God. All things indeed [are] pure; but [it is] evil for that man who eateth with offence.
these two places do not seem to fit , but the revelation that Peter understood was by ''faith '' that the Father gave for Peter to believe Jesus is the Son of God , this work is what the chuch / body of Christ is made of

without faith it is impossible to please God
and what is not of faith is sin
so sin is what must be shaken out of us so that faith and hope and love remains strong in us , for this is the building stones of Jesus Christ Body ''the true church ''

this would be why Paul said to turn one over to satan for the destruction of the flesh , so one will be saved in the day of the Lord [ first resurrection for the 2nd death has no power to hurt you by faith in the Lord) , because Jesus did not prevent Peter from the sifting , but prayed for his faith to remain strong as it is nessesary , to overcome in the trust in Jesus Christ for the power over death that satan has to the resurrection in Jesus Christ

copyChkboxOff.gif
1Cr 5:5To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

Hbr 2:14Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil I cannot explain things well , but hope this may only add to your post , and not take away from it
Romans 14 has alot on the faith towards God to please Him . it was an eye opener that the Lord put his light on to just see how important the measure of faith God gives to every man is utilized and given and strengthed and shared and grows in truth and grace ...faith is one of the 3 things in Pauls witnes the Lord gave him to show us the way to life in Christ 1Cr 13:13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these [is] charity.

I'm being sifted now
As we all are rdcast Judgement begins in the house of God our lusts of the flesh must be burned out of us and satan /adversary removed from ruling our hearts , God is a consuming fire and we must let HIM RULE our hearts and dwell there in GODS WILL BE DONE not our own wills!
we are all shaken , those things that offend must be removed and those firey trials should not take us by surpise as Peter told us , so the things that remain will be soild as the Rock Jesus that we are hid in

1Pe 4:1Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;
copyChkboxOff.gif
1Pe 4:2 That he no longer should live the rest of [his] time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.
copyChkboxOff.gif
1Pe 4:3 For the time past of [our] life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:
copyChkboxOff.gif
1Pe 4:4 Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with [them] to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of [you]:
copyChkboxOff.gif
1Pe 4:5 Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead.
copyChkboxOff.gif
1Pe 4:6 For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.
copyChkboxOff.gif
1Pe 4:7But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.
copyChkboxOff.gif
1Pe 4:8 And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.
copyChkboxOff.gif
1Pe 4:9 Use hospitality one to another without grudging.
copyChkboxOff.gif
1Pe 4:10 As every man hath received the gift, [even so] minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
copyChkboxOff.gif
1Pe 4:11 If any man speak, [let him speak] as the oracles of God; if any man minister, [let him do it] as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
copyChkboxOff.gif
1Pe 4:12Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:
copyChkboxOff.gif
1Pe 4:13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.
copyChkboxOff.gif
1Pe 4:14 If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy [are ye]; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.
copyChkboxOff.gif
1Pe 4:15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or [as] a thief, or [as] an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters.
copyChkboxOff.gif
1Pe 4:16 Yet if [any man suffer] as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.
copyChkboxOff.gif
1Pe 4:17 For the time [is come] that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if [it] first [begin] at us, what shall the end [be] of them that obey not the gospel of God?
copyChkboxOff.gif
1Pe 4:18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?
copyChkboxOff.gif
1Pe 4:19 Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls [to him] in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.
this is where the rubber meets the road !

If thy eye offend the, pluck it out

Should I pluck them out
your eye of understanding ? why yes , you should
but not your literal eye

Jesus spoke in parables to make us compare the literal with the spiritual

darkness = blindness to Gods knowledge
without understanding [eye to percieve /understand what the Lord means ] we just get it
pluck out the blind eye to the truth and pray to God for eyes to see and ears to hear and heart to understand what the SPIRIT OF GOD is saying and showing and planting in our hearts

Mat 6:22The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.
copyChkboxOff.gif
Mat 6:23But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great [is] that darkness!

Light 1) a lamp, candle, that is placed on a stand or candlestick
darkness
a) of night darkness
b) of darkened eyesight or blindness
2) metaphorically .
a) of ignorance respecting divine things and human duties, and the accompanying ungodliness and immorality, together with their consequent misery in hell
b) persons in whom darkness becomes visible and holds sway

you need your literal phycial eye to see or you are blind and stumble and cannot experience many things such as danger nor enjoy colors etc

in the dark we are like blind without seeing that is the same thing Jesus is trying to show us spiritually speaking
in the Light , Children of the Day we can see things clearly and judge rightly and understand His ways

:) , you know !

May we all obey Jesus commands and love one another putting on charity which is the bond of perfectness Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;
copyChkboxOff.gif
Col 3:13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also [do] ye.
copyChkboxOff.gif
Col 3:14 And above all these things [put on] charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
copyChkboxOff.gif
Col 3:15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

May we all obey Jesus commands and love one another putting on charity which is the bond of perfectness Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;

Col 3:13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also [do] ye.

Col 3:14 And above all these things [put on] charity, which is the bond of perfectness.

This is why Jesus says be ye there for perfect as your Father in heaven is perfect ,

Paul shows us this is how we can do so by forgiving and showing mercy , the bond of perfectness is done by putting on charity , it edifies and lifts up the Body of Christ , Gods son

1) affection, good will, love, benevolence, brotherly love
2) love feasts

:) blessings to you and yours rdcast!!
