I don't know about other guys, but I wouldn't give two toots if a girl I went out with got spaghetti and had problems eating it without being messy. I'd probably think it was darn cute.
That's a great attitude!

Depends on whether or not she has a sense of humor about it, though. If she didn't, then it probably wouldn't be too fun. If she did, though, it would be a great time.:)

As for my contribution to all of this...looks like I'm gonna have to be the one to drop the "cynical bomb" on this thread.;)

As over-generalized as it may sound, let's face the facts: saying "I love you" too early in the relationship, much less on the first date, is pretty much the best way to throw a monkey wrench in the gears of your trying to find a significant other.

So, you know, don't do it for a while. Even if things are looking good, people get spooked when someone says this to them and they're MOVING in this direction but really aren't 100% sure. Give it at LEAST a couple months, or, if you're sure you're falling in love with someone within the first month or two, wait until your SO says it, or something that's a good lead-in to it.

I know this sounds obvious, and it sounded obvious to me a year and a half ago when I was with my ex. Yet emotion got the best of me and I said it too early on, and even though we lasted for a few more months after that, it still poisoned our relationship.

Reason i mention that was on the night I was proposed to, we did getti and I had a white shirt on, .. I split on my shirt and it was just a big inside joke. Actually come to think of it the night was just a big mess up.. he put my ring under my napkin and I proceeded to put it on my plate and give it to the server

LOL ... I love gilmore girls ;) LOL
LOL, gilmore girls. My sisters love the show, as well. I bought them seasons 3-6 for Christmas and they devoted their entire free time to watching the eps.

My dad likes to watch things with subtitles on. He tried watching some episodes of Gilmore Girls with one of my sisters and said there was so much talking going on that he couldn't read fast enough to keep up. :D:p

Things not to say on a first date:

"Man... this itches... will you excuse me??"

"I hope you don't mind, I invited my mother to come with us"

Someone I know actually had this happen:
Dont tell a girl that all you want to see her in is a cowboy hat and a pair of boots...
