  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Irrelevent that you know a lot of people like that, because people find people who are like themselves. Fact is, it is EXTREMELY rare for a guy not to like a nurturing woman, because men generally want feminine women and being nurturing is a very feminine trait.

Whoa whoa whoa, she was talking about when someones sick, not all the time. I want to be left alone when I'm sick, I want my wife to be nurturing and caring, but that doesnt mean that I want her to be glued to me at all times. I want personal Space.

And for the dude who said that a guy who loves his wife/gf will want her to be that way and a guy who doesnt wont, You have no business questioning someone elses love because they enjoy personal space. Of course I could say something like this "If a couple seem to be smothering each other its because they dont trust each other and are scared that they will run off if they dont hold tight enough". Generalizations go both ways.

I KNOW what she was referring to. It's pretty obvious. A nurturing woman will generally most want to take care of you when you are least able to easily take care of yourself - IE sick, injured, etc. If you want a chick who is like that only when you are healthy... hah, dude, good luck.

I never said I wanted a chick only to do that when I am healthy, (btw i bet it would be pretty easy to find a girl who only wants to be around when you are doing well).

I just dont like being smothered.
