I really like the first one more though. It seems to be a relatively obscure icon, I can't find many samples of it on Google anyways.

Mary was a human being that gave birth to the Messiah and died and is now clothed in her heavenly home. She is not someone to exhault to a degree that she rises above other people for she too was born in sin and in need of Jesus for her Salvation.

It's not about our salvation hanging if she was not or was a perpetual virgin.
It's about honoring what God has done for her.
If God did something for someone you knew, like lets' say they were healed by God. Should we honor God for doing this for that person? or not?

sorry johnny but your one doesn't rhyme, which probably means it ain't true. lol you have to understand that im trying to build a strong relationship with Jesus, so i cant be saying" hey paul, send a message to jesus for me would ya" pauls reply " why cant you do it?, i thought you were friends!". So i just avoid the whole situation and go to Jesus.

If we are all children of Jesus then we are all in a relationship with Jesus. Not only "me".
It's not an either "me and Jesus" or a "brother/sister in Christ and Jesus"
It's both.
We can't have a relationship with Jesus and not have a relationship with our sisters and brothers in Christ. It's just not possible.

thats where your wrong lionking, The relationships are separate from one another. I dont put all relationships under one roof because they are each different individuals. theres no "everyone and me" relationship. Its more personal and unique with each person. So i have a relationship, a "Jesus and me" and i also have a "matthew and me" and a "melinda and me" all unique with ups and downs but ultimately the "jesus and me" relationship matters to me most. I mean none of the others have the control of my soul, so theres a fear factor there. yeeeepppp

Sorry but your dead wrong. Christianity would not be here if it were not for those that passed it down to us. We would not be Christians today with out them. All the way back 2000 yrs. ago till now.
That's a relationship
If it were not for those that wrote the NT we would not have the Bible as we have it today. That's a relationship.
The NT would not say to pray with and for others if it was only a "me and Jesus" relationship.
All relationships are built on top of other relationships. The one thing that I do agree with is that a one on one relationship is unique but that's not to the exclusion of other relationships, but rather the inclusion of others.
