In life, everyone has different struggles and their own things to deal with, family, relationships gone wrong, sickness and disease, emtional issues arising from these or other problems.

Some of us handle them better than others, we take it in our stride seemingly and grow because of it. And we are also there to lend our figurative hands to those who don't do so well.
But we are happy to do it, your sadness is ours so we want to make you happy, so we too can be happy.
Maybe.

I will listen to anything thats troubling you, I will not judge you, I won't talk if you don't want me to, I'm not going to tell you what to do nor how you should feel.

So many people, all reaching out to whoever will listen.

I can't anymore.

I can't hear another broken heart, broken body, terminal case..

It not the talking that did it, its the silence when sometimes someone doesn't answer anymore.

Its not the talking, it's the brother, sister, father who goes to their contact list and then gives the news to every person on that list, they have to explain over and over, could I do that? I don't know..i just don't know.

So I'm sorry, I can't help you anymore.

It is hard to listen and help bear the burdens of others. I understand that. I can only recommend that you pull away and do what you need to do to get yourself refreshed and refilled. I know for me, to give is one of the things I can do most of the time, but not all, sometimes it can be very draining and hard. To help others you, yourself need to be filled. So take a break, go do something fun to get your mind and heart off of others burdens and come back when you can.

I used to have the same problem...when you take up the problems of others, you need to pass them on to Christ right away...this can be hard to do at first...but eventually you'll get the hang of it.

It's been a while since I posted this thread..and at the time, I was feeling particularly distressed.

But things are looking up, I am seeing a counselor and a GP and generally doing what I can to get my s**t together, as it were.

Thanks to you Ashlynne, who offered to listen..I'm sorry I never took you up on that, but I think that if I had...I might not have been motivated to seek real personal contact for my problems.

I realise that, while humans are exceptional animals, we are after all, only human and sometimes.....we need the help of other people to deal emotionally.

....Thus begins my next chapter...

I am glad you are on the road to healing. It is a long and hard road, but it will be worth it. You are so worth the effort it will take and the change you will make.
