• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

There comes a time....

...in every Christian's life when there becomes a need to apply the knowledge we've gained in scripture and live it out for our God. Learning to live a holy life isn't the difficult part, it's putting into action. We may think we have wisdom until we start living it out, we find out quickly just how much in need of wisdom in God's Word we really are. For me, not much makes sense and becomes real in His Word till you start to live it out. Then His Word starts to become everything it says it is. It becomes truth when we start to realize it by living it out.

I agree. The Tuth is always the truth, even if we don't live it out. But is it a wonderful blessing to see that Truth made manifest in our lives. We are created to move into living in the Truth and letting Him live in us. In this become one with Him. For in Him we live, move and have our being...and He is the Way, the Truth and the life.

MY DEAR BROTHER IN CHRIST,

EXCELLENT POINT!--and most appropriate for the start of the New Year! Christians do indeed need to remember that CHRISTIANITY IS A WAY OF LIFE--not an abstract philosophy. As Saint James says, "BUT BE DOERS OF THE WORD, AND NOT HEARERS ONLY, DECEIVING YOURSELVES."(James 1:22) And, of course, "For as the body without the spirit is dead, so FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS DEAD."(James 2:26)
Thanks for the reminder!

MUCH LOVE IN CHRIST,
