These are not two, but one in sequence. Sooner or later, you have to put a label on an object or a subject, for the sake of organizing your thought.

I don't know what the "infinite" means when applied to the now. But actually, this OP is pretty insightful. Two ways of relating to things:

See them through the filter of language (labels), or see them in their nakedness and particularity. The (Eastern) practice of mindfulness is about this second one, and this path is a good one for maintaining sanity and, I don't know, really *seeing* things as they are as opposed to what we imagine them to be because we're reducing things to concepts.

I prefer having a balanced experience of past, present, and future.
