Hi
The Scripture is silent on the origins of demons.
There are several theories which ALLUDE to Scripture.

The first theory is related to the "Gap Theory" of creation. The Gap theory sees Genesis 1:1 as God's perfect creation of the heavens and earth. Genesis 1:2 shows the earth after a catastrophic
judgement by God. Lucifer's fall is purported to have occurred between Gen 1:1 and 1:2. This theory sees Lucifer before his fall as ruling over a pre- Adamic race. This theory sees Ezek 28:12-19 as refering to Lucifer in his primeval sinless glory. Lucifer ruled over the pre-Adamite inhabitants of the earth; who or what ever they were. The disembodied spirits of these are supposed to be the demons. Isa 14:12-20 records Lucifer's fall.

The second theory sees Gen 6: 1-4 as teaching that the "sons of God" are angels and that they had sexual relations with the daughters of men. The result of this horrific mating were the giants spoken of in Gen 6:4. God sent Noah's Flood killing these giants( and all who were not in the Ark) resulting in their spirits becoming the demons.

The above two theories speak of demons as being disembodied spirits and point to the New Testament passages that speak of the demon possesed and that Christ cast out the demons. The logic being that if they seek a body to inhabit that they must have had a body at one time.

The third theory sees the demons as being part of the company of fallen angels that rebelled with satan. This theory sees God in His sovereignty
allowing some of this number to roam about under the leadership of satan. While others of this company were bound in chains;"And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgement of the great day" (Jude 6)
The important thing to remember is we as believers have authority over demons in Christ's name.
These are all theories which one if any do you think is correct?

GOD BLESS
