Theology Students

It is apparant that many of us goto school to study the word. My question is basically what college do you go to, what degree are you working on and what do you hope to do with it.. I think this should be interesting to see where everyone is coming from. Also in a nutshell if you'd like to include why you go there that would be great too, sort of a mini testimony. (if you also graduated from one already dont feel left out please post)

Awesome thread. I could use some help locating a Biblical Bible College if you know what I mean. I'll be watching this.

I havent started yet, but will be going in January to Central Bible College (www.cbcag.edu) headed up by the assemblies of god its specific purpose is for the training of ministers and missionaries.

I will be going down the pastoral ministry track. I feel led by God to preach his word and this is what i shall do. Ever since I followed God's lead and decided to go down this path God has placed people in my life who are just desperate for the truth of his word.

I didnt want to do it at first (this was God's answer to me in prayer for guidance for my life).. I told God "Your crazy Lord, i can't do that i'm not good enough, there are better speakers than me not to mention smarter." But he made me realize i needed to grab his hand and hold on. Thats my story in a nutshell.. Theres a thought in my head that i should goto NYC and start up a night church for those insomniacs out there.. That would be great..

Right now, I'm working on application for getting into a masters program for a masters degree in Biblical studies. My undergraduate degree in Biblical studies is pending paperwork I need to finish. It will be from Malone college in Canton, OH. I'll probably get my masters through the ELCA which means they will probably be sending me to one of their seminaries beginning next fall.

I'm working on my M.Div. at Fuller Theological Seminary. I am the Lord's servant, so what I will do after I finish is in God's hands as much as what I will do tomorrow. I can definitely see that where I expected it to take me - into some sort of conflict management work with churches - is probably not going to be the end result. I seem more drawn into some area of pastoral care - marriage and family ministries, or posible hospital chaplaincy.

received an associate degree at Christian Training Institute in Taylorville , IL.
received a bachelors degree from Forward Ministries , now Global Ministries and Relief .
working on a Ma. in Theology at present
