Neither. Just grossly misunderstanding scripture. Only one country ever has scriptural authority to operate that way and that was ancient Israel. There is no authorization or even suggestion that there be a Christian equivalent.

So, I watched it. His father was Muslim (and I'm assuming he was also raised Muslim) until he became Christian. All this video is expressing is the belief that he held as a Muslim except tweaked with a Christian spin. If he were still Muslim and posted this video, we wouldn't have heard of it, or would be shamed for bringing it up as an attack on Islam. Yes, it's scary stuff, but until the standard is applied across the board...

Utter rubbish. Collectivism is what allowed the worst atrocities throughout history. The collective is the mob and the mob will do evil that few individuals will. A man who would not pull the trigger or wield the knife will urge others to do so and one who would do no evil unurged will pick up the knife and do the dirty work.

It is when the collective is despised and men are urged to follow their own conscience (along with open discussion as to what is right) where the greatest barriers exist to evil.

People should be executed for stealing, dishonoring their parents, working on a Saturday, saying "God" when it's not appropriate or necessary, believing in other religions, or lying?

This guy used to write for "news" site Barbwire. They very recently, very quietly deleted all his columns. Maybe because they realized they could not keep up an image of being against the LGBT community for moral reasons if they also ran a column by a guy who advocates the death penalty for homosexuality.

To suggest that if they defy so much that they eventually need to be put to death is rather extreme.It is up to The Lord to decide when that sort of person should perish. Not us. We were told to make disciples, not 'accept the Gospel and if you don't your going to die!' Sounds a lot like Islam to me.
